LONGSONG

The Southern Asian origins of Longsong are echoed in the narrative of this installation. The Chang Mai lantern festival annual event sees the release of thousands of flaming lanterns to usher in the luck of the person who releases it.

Each of the 85 individual components represents good wishes and fortune. The LED lamp mimics a flame effect and is housed in a canvas “balloon”.
